Mohamed Salah has returned to Liverpool for treatment, after suffering an injury during Egypt’s 4-1 win over Swaziland, the Liverpool Echo report.
The Reds forward was instrumental for his country during the emphatic win and even scored directly from a corner as Egypt made it two wins from three in their Africa Cup of Nations qualification group.

However, in the 88th minute, the 26-year-old pulled up with what looked to be a hamstring problem and left the field in stoppage time, with Egypt playing out the closing stages with 10 men.
This prompted plenty of concern amongst Reds supporters, however, there was soon to be a positive message from inside the national camp.
Egypt’s assistant manager has described the injury as ‘not big’, with Egyptian officials now confirming that the forward has returned to England to continue his recovery.
Javier Aguirre has decided to let Mohamed Salah return to his club and not participate in the Swaziland match on Tuesday to give him more rest.
During the previous match against Swaziland, Salah complained of stress in the musculoskeletal muscle. He was examined medically and radiation was performed on the area of complaint after the game.
Salah will now face a race against time to be fit for Liverpool’s next Premier League fixture, which is against Huddersfield Town next Saturday.
