Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno will turn down a Premier League lifeline from Arsenal in order to secure a permanent return to Spain.
According to reports from El Gol Digital, Moreno has his eyes set on a return to Sevilla as he approaches the end of his contract with Liverpool.
The Spaniard is being tipped to move on from Anfield as early as January, with the Reds keen to cut their losses with the defender.
Moreno has been out of the first-team picture for some time now and is aware that there is no new contract in the offing.
Arsenal’s interest in the player dates back some time, with Unai Emery clearly seeing a potential bargain, as the Gunners would be able to pick the player up for nothing in the summer.
Sevilla have been the front-runners to sign Moreno and could bring him in to provide competition for Sergio Escudero.
