Paris Saint Germain star Neymar has insisted that the injury he suffered during international duty is “nothing serious”, according to a report on Talksport.
The Brazilian was forced off the pitch with a groin problem during his nation’s international friendly against Cameroon at Stadium MK.
The forward was labelled as an early doubt for next week’s crunch Champions League clash with Liverpool but he believes the injury is not as serious as first feared.
Following the match, Neymar took to Instagram to provide an update.

The post translates to:
We closed the year happy for the work done so far, these last games were important to recover from the biggest hit that was the World Cup, we remained strong, focused and aiming to be increasingly better. Congratulations guys, for everything.
Thanks to all who sent me messages wishing me a good recovery, I think it was nothing serious.
I am very happy and proud to reach my 100th cap, always very honoured to defend the WORLD’S GREATEST team.
Brazil’s team doctor also insisted that the problem wasn’t major but Neymar will now return to France where PSG’s doctors will run further tests on the injury.
