Controversial plans to hold Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Arsenal on Christmas Eve have been ditched, with the fixture set to be played on Friday 22nd December with a 7:45pm kick off time, according to a report on the Liverpool Echo.
The match at the Emirates looked increasingly likely to be changed to Christmas Eve for broadcasting reasons but the Premier League and Sky Sports have agreed not to make the change.
The plans were not received well by Liverpool fans, who were concerned about the travel options on such a busy day.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was also critical of the plans as it would have given his side an even tougher packed Christmas fixture schedule.
Arsenal were also reluctant to back the move to Christmas Eve because the club would have struggled to get enough safety stewards to work that night.
There is now an agreement in place that the fixture will go ahead three days before Christmas, which will still be problematic for fans but is a better option than Christmas Eve.
The match is eagerly anticipated by both sets of fans as well as neutrals as both sides have had mixed starts to their Premier League campaigns.
