Liverpool will face competition from Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain if they are to pursue RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to reports in Germany.
Kicker, as cited by Sport, reports that the Reds are in a four-way race to land the forward, with Bayern Munich among the most interested parties.
Werner has perennially been identified as a potential transfer target for Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp well aware of the player’s qualities following his time in the Bundesliga.

The forward is being linked with a departure from Leipzig this summer and will certainly not be short of potential suitors should he leave the club.
Klopp has plenty of forward options at his disposal but has often resorted to deploying natural wingers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in central roles when Roberto Firmino has been absent.
He could be keen to add a top-quality forward to his squad at the end of the season, with Werner emerging as a genuine target for the Reds.
