Adrien Rabiot is a summer target for Real Madrid and an agreement may even have been reached, according to a report in AS.
The Frenchman is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, having been frozen out at the Ligue 1 club.
He hasn’t played since December and will not be signing a new deal at the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Liverpool emerged as one of the favourites to sign Rabiot this summer, with his all-round quality in midfield making him an obvious target.
The fact that he is available on a free transfer only made a move more appealing.
Talk of a switch to Anfield has cooled, however, and it is Madrid who have now emerged as the front-runners, with Barcelona previously linked.
The reigning European champions think they may have got their man, with Rabiot jumping at the chance to play under Zinedine Zidane.
