Rangers eyeing move for Danny Ings

New Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is considering raiding his former club Liverpool once again as he ponders a move for out-of-favour striker Danny Ings this summer, according to a report on the Scotsman.

The England international forward is seeking a move away from Anfield in search of regular playing time after he failed to break into the starting lineup last season due to injury woes.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would like Ings to stay at the Merseyside club but will not stand in his way if he receives an offer that he would like to accept.

Rangers have already signed Jon Flanagan and Ovie Ejaria from Liverpool so far and are hoping that they can seal a hat-trick by securing Ings’ signature.

The former Burnley striker is a target for several clubs and will not be short on offers this summer.

Rangers and Liverpool have negotiated well already this summer and with Gerrard at the helm at Rangers, he could persuade the Reds to allow Ings to join his side.
