‘Really interesting’ – David Ornstein confirms three Liverpool transfer targets

The summer transfer window slammed shut last week as Liverpool signed four new players under Andoni Iraola.

Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz, Ronald Araujo and Bradley Barcola arrived at Anfield this summer, with the Reds expected to be active in the upcoming windows as well.

In terms of their midfield, they opted not to replace Curtis Jones due to Trey Nyoni’s emergence.

However, that is an area of the pitch that will require some surgery in the upcoming months, and David Ornstein has named three players who Liverpool are keeping tabs on.

David Ornstein on Liverpool’s midfield shortlist

“There’s interest from Liverpool [in Lamine Camara],” said Ornstein via The Athletic’s podcast.

“I think Liverpool like Manu Kone as one of their potential future options. Alex Scott is a player of interest to the biggest clubs. We saw that with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea [were] looking at him.

“Bournemouth made it clear he was not for sale: you could see Chelsea, Liverpool revisiting it, Arsenal maybe less now with Bruno Guimaraes, [and] Manchester United.

“I think that is one of the really interesting ones to watch out for in the summer 2027 market.”

All three of them are fantastic players in their own right and have been reliably linked with moves to Liverpool, so don’t be surprised to see the club revisit those deals in 2027.
