Reds considering reporting Gladbach for illegal approach

Liverpool are considering taking legal action against Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach for their approach to Rhian Brewster.

The Telegraph reports that the Reds are unhappy with the German outfit following reports claiming that they were considering a summer move for the player.

Brewster will essentially become a free agent this summer as he weighs up his professional contract offer, that may not be at Anfield.

The report claims that Liverpool have activated the third year of his scholarship deal, which prevents him from speaking to other clubs, something a senior player would be able to do in the final months of their contract.

The German side are said to be thinking of a move and are ready to offer him regular first-team football, something that Jurgen Klopp would be unable to guarantee.

Brewster could follow the likes of Ademola Lookman and Jadon Sancho by moving to Germany to seek regular first-team football.

Lookman is currently on loan at RB Leipzig, who also hold an interest in Brewster, while Sancho joined Borussia Dortmund in the summer from Manchester City.
