Reliable journalist provides significant update on Mohamed Salah’s future

Mohamed Salah is unlikely to join Real Madrid or Barcelona because of their financial situation, according to the Telegraph‘s Sam Wallace.

The 28-year-old’s future has been a big talking point of late, especially after he failed to rule out a move to Spain.

Salah has claimed that the ball is in Liverpool’s court, in terms of offering him a new deal, but has stressed that he is happy at the club.

Now, Wallace states that the ‘pressure from Spain’s two biggest clubs is no longer there’ like it used to be, with regards to them snapping up top Premier League talent.

That’s because of their dire finances, with the money to spend huge amounts on players not available at the moment.

This is undoubtedly positive news for Liverpool, with Real and Barca not in a position to bully the Reds.

The hope is that the club will offer Salah a new contract when the time is right, with his importance to the cause undeniable.

Liverpool’s No.11 has scored 111 goals and registered 41 assists in 178 appearances for the club – an astonishing return over four seasons.

It may be that Salah needs to be patient – the Reds’ financial situation is also fairly bleak due to the virus affecting the world – but the hope is that he will extend his stay in the coming months.
