Rhian Brewster hat-trick sends England into U17 World Cup final

Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster scored a second successive hat trick to help England under-17s overcome Brazil 3-1 in the semi-final of the U17 World Cup in India.

Brewster opened the scoring in the 10th minute after the goalkeeper saved his initial effort. Brewster showed terrific reactions to connect with the rebound and prod the ball into the net.

Brazil fought back and equalised in the 21st minute through centre forward Wesley.

But Brewster proved to be the nemesis for the Brazilian defence once again as he lashed in from six yards out just before the break following a pull back from the right hand side.

Brewster took all the headlines in England’s quarter-final victory over USA when he netted a treble and the in-form striker carried his form into the semi-final against a highly-rated Brazil side.

England will now face either Spain or Mali in the final.

London born Brewster joined Liverpool at the age of 15 from Premier League rivals Chelsea, who will certainly be regretting the decision to let the prolific forward leave.
