Robertson to pen five-year deal

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson is set to put pen to paper on a new five-year deal at the club, according to a report from Paul Joyce of The Times.

The Scottish international has established himself as a crucial member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad and is a mainstay in the German’s starting line-up at left-back.

The defender joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 in a deal believed to be worth just £10 million from Hull City following their relegation to the Championship.

He has since emerged as a vital player for the Reds and if The Times are to be believed, a new five-year contract is close to being agreed.

Robertson, who is the captain of the Scotland National Team, will now hope to kick on and help the Reds to a long-awaited Premier League title win.
