Premier League side Liverpool have been given hope of signing Spanish youngster Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid after Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that his attitude is not good enough for the European champions, according to CalcioMercato.
Ceballos was signed by Zinedine Zidane from fellow Spanish La Liga side Real Betis but has failed to make a positive impact on the side. He joined for a fee of around €18 million on a six-year deal.
The midfielder has been left frustrated with a lack of game time given to him by the Real Madrid boss and Ronaldo is not impressed with the attitude he is showing. The Spaniard has played just 15 times for this season, managing to find the back of the net twice.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keeping a close eye on the situation and may take Ceballos off Real Madrid’s hands, with the youngster potentially available for only £25 million.
Ceballos is highly rated in Spain and won UEFA’s Under-21 European Championships Player of the Tournament award last summer.
The 21-year-old is being chased by numerous clubs, including Italian side Inter Milan but Liverpool are hopeful that Premier League football attracts him to Anfield.
Liverpool have lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona and are still looking for an adequate replacement, Ceballos could be the ideal man to do that.
