Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves says he is looking forward to playing in the Premier League next season, but with his current club.
Neves told Sky Sports, as reported by the Mirror, that he is happy at Wolves, despite interest from Liverpool.
I came here to help the club and the club has helped me as well. I think we achieved all our goals, as an individual and as a team. It is normal as big clubs see our work, not just me but all the boys, but I am really happy here.
Liverpool were said to be considering a summer move and rumours began to circulate when the player was spotted in the city recently.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the past.
The former Porto star was a key figure in Wolves’ promotion campaign following a £15.8 million move but he has already seen his name linked with bigger and better things.
Neves will undoubtedly be a key figure in Wolves’ Premier League campaign next season, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men looking to make a mark in the top flight.
Should Neves continue to perform at the rate he has done in the Championship he will attract interest from the Premier League’s big boys.
