Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has fired a warning to Liverpool ahead of the weekend’s Merseyside derby.
As reported on the Liverpool Echo, the Reds travel to Goodison Park to face their arch-rivals on Sunday.
Sigurdsson was on form to help Everton secure a comfortable 3-0 away victory over Cardiff City on Tuesday evening, whilst Liverpool host in-form Watford at Anfield tonight.

Sigurdsson has warned the Reds that Everton will be up for the derby. When asked if Everton want to derail Liverpool’s title challenge, he said:
Of course, yes. You always want to win these games, especially after the disappointing ending to the game the last time we played them.
To lose a derby game like that, being so close to a good point away from home, was very disappointing.
These are the games you are looking forward to before the season starts.
Jordan Pickford’s howler earlier in the season allowed Divock Origi to score the winner at Anfield.
