Liverpool’s current squad of players is one of the best we have seen for many years now.
Jurgen Klopp’s appointment in 2015 has seen a rebirth of the club and the quality of the players.
One of those first signings came in the form of Senegalese winger Sadio Mané from Southampton.
The forward joined the club for just over £37million and has been a fantastic addition for the Reds.
However, some Liverpool fans apparently don’t appreciate the job that Mané has done on Merseyside.
This led to Liverpool fan lfcnxsir on Twitter to defend the winger with an informative thread on why Mané is already a Liverpool legend…
For us one of the most impressive stats in the thread is Mané’s goals in Champions League knockout stages.
Since his Champions league debut, only Cristiano Ronaldo (13) has managed more goals than Mané (12).
That is an incredible record to be only one goal off of a player such as Ronaldo.
Also throughout the thread, lfcnxsir highlights the trophies and impact that Mané has had with an impressive showing in the Ballon d’Or.
It is fair to say that Mané has done more than enough to earn his place in the Liverpool history books.
Although his record in front of goal may not be on par with previous seasons, there is no denying his ability.
