The Dutchman was in fine form for the Reds as they continued their impressive start to the Premier League season.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have yet to lose a match in the top-flight this term and much of this is owed to their defensive form, with Van Dijk featuring prominently in the team’s back-line.

Liverpool have conceded just five goals from 13 matches, a return which is equalled only by current league leaders Manchester City.

Van Dijk will be keen to scoop the monthly award but will be faced by stiff competition following some standout performances from other Premier League players.

Huddersfield Town’s Aaron Mooy is up for the November award, along with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Meanwhile, Manchester City trio Raheem Sterling, David Silva and Leroy Sane have all also been nominated, as Pep Guardiola’s side continue to run riot at the top of the table.
