Wolverhampton Wanderers are leading the race to sign Liverpool target Ramello Mitchell from Birmingham City, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
The 16-year-old had been linked with a switch to Anfield recently, but it seems Wolves are ahead of the Reds in their pursuit of the youngster.
Mitchell has been scoring freely at youth level for Birmingham and has shone at both Under-16 and Under-18 level, earning plenty of plaudits throughout the season so far.

The attacker turned in an especially impressive performance against Liverpool, as he fired the Blues’ Under-16 team to glory in the Blades Cup.
According to the report, the Reds have been keeping a close eye on Mitchell since then, with the club pondering a summer swoop for the talented young striker.
However, it seems they’ll need to step up their efforts if they are to sign him ahead of Wolves.
Manchester United are also noted as potential suitors for Mitchell.
