Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn is expected to return to Anfield following Kieran Dowell’s move to Sheffield United.
It was confirmed on Friday that the Everton midfielder would join up with Chris Wilder’s side on loan until the end of the season.
Neil Jones has since suggested that an Anfield return could be on the cards for Woodburn as a result.
The Welsh international has struggled to break into the United team this season and Dowell’s arrival only puts further competition in his way.

Woodburn made the move to Bramall Lane over the summer with a wealth of expectation but has since made just seven appearances in the Championship, only one of which has been from the start.
Both clubs have stressed that they are relaxed about Woodburn’s situation, despite his struggles in the Championship.
However, it remains to be seen if Liverpool would be willing to see the winger sit on the sidelines for the second half of the season.
