Sunderland’s move for Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn on a loan deal until the end of the season has been put on hold due to Philippe Coutinho joining Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
The Championship club had agreed a package to take Woodburn to the Stadium of Light until the summer, with the youngster open to making the move to reunite himself with ex-Wales manager Chris Coleman, who rates the attacking midfielder very highly.

Coleman was the first person to contact Liverpool regarding taking 18-year-old Woodburn on loan to help him gain valuable experience and playing time in a very competitive league.
However, the Reds have currently stalled the deal after losing Coutinho and having Mohammed Salah injured.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp may still require the services of Woodburn if the injury to Salah is more serious than first expected, so the German is not being too hasty with any decision made regarding the youngster.
The Black Cats must now wait until Klopp gives the green light for the move to happen. Coleman is keen to sign new players this month to help his side survive the relegation battle that they find themselves in, with Woodburn being the number one target.
