Liverpool have been given a major boost ahead of the second leg of their Champions League quarter final with Manchester City as it looks like left-back Andy Robertson will be fit for selection.
Speaking at his press conference on Monday, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said was unsure if Robertson was going to be fit enough to play after missing the Merseyside Derby with a slight calf issue.
Klopp said that he was waiting to see if the Scottish international would be available for the evening training session before making a decision about his inclusion.
Sure enough, Robertson was fit enough to train fully with the first team squad and as such, he’s expected to come straight back into the starting line-up, replacing Ragnar Klavan who was used as an emergency left-back against Everton.

Robertson has been in fine form for the Reds since breaking into the first team and his inclusion will he a huge boost for a Liverpool side that is depleted due to injuries and suspension.
Liverpool’s other left-back, Alberto Moreno, is also expected to be part of the squad for Tuesday’s big game as he also recovered from a knock to take part in the session.
