Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is currently the top scorer in the Premier League, although the cushion between himself and Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot has been reduced by one goal after after Tottenham and Kane successfully appealed to the Premier League’s Goal Accreditation Appeals Panel.
Spurs’ goal against Stoke City was originally awarded to Christian Eriksen but Kane insisted that the ball had skimmed off his shoulder and a three-person panel agreed with him, thus he was awarded the goal.
Salah’s reaction to the announcement was pretty straight forward as he took to social media to show his surprise.

Salah’s teammates Gini Wijnaldum, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Simon Mignolet also took to Twitter, using emojis and GIFs to show their surprise at the decision.

Salah has 29 league goals this season and the award of the goal at Stoke means Kane now has 25.
Spurs have six games left to play in the league this season, whilst Liverpool have five, so the race for the Golden Boot could go down to the wire.
