According to the French outlet, the 24-year-old is interested in a move to Anfield but, out of respect for his current employers, he won’t discuss any personal terms with the Reds until a fee has been agreed with Lyon.
Lyon value Fekir at €60m (£52.7m) and will not consider selling him for any amount lower than their asking price.
Liverpool have shown in the past that they can be tough negotiators in the transfer market so it remains to be seen if they are willing to meet the asking price for the Lyon captain.
Fekir has been named in the France squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia, so all parties involved will be hoping for a swift resolution so the player can focus on representing his country in the world’s most prestigious competition.
