Liverpool set to sign Bobby Duncan from Manchester City
Liverpool look set to sign teenage forward Bobby Duncan after he decided to leave Manchester City.
The 17-year-old, who happens to be the cousin of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, has been at Man City since he was 11 but after six years with the club, he’s decided to move on and it looks like he will join Liverpool in the immediate future.
In a statement posted on his Instagram account, Duncan said:
It’s been an amazing 6 years at Manchester City. It was a difficult decision for me and my family but the time is right for a new challenge and to fulfil my dreams and potential elsewhere.
Duncan didn’t feature for City last season due to a contract dispute, so his game time was limited to mainly playing for England’s Under-17 side.
However, Liverpool look like they’ve seen enough from him to offer him a contract and the teenager will likely become the newest addition at the Kirkby academy.
