Keita doesn’t officially become a Liverpool player until July 1st, but he’s already been unveiled by the club, along with the confirmation that he will be taking the number eight shirt made famous by Steven Gerrard.
However, the Guinean wanted to ensure that he was in the best possible shape going into pre-season with his new club and as such, he requested the extra session.
Keita is not required to start pre-season training until July 2nd, but his willingness to work will go down well with the club’s supporters who have been waiting a year to see him in action for the Reds.
