Besiktas eye loan move for Loris Karius

Besiktas eye loan move for Loris Karius

After seemingly missing out on a deal for Simon Mignolet, Besiktas are lining up a move for Liverpool’s other reserve goalkeeper Loris Karius, according to reports in Turkey.

After selling Fabri to Fulham last month, Besiktas are in the market for a new goalkeeper and it looks like Karius is on their radar.

Karius hoped to go into this season as Liverpool’s number one goalkeeper but the arrival of Alisson Becker means that he’s firmly seen as a back-up now, and he might fancy the chance to move on to hopefully rebuild his career after his disastrous performance in the Champions League final.

According to reports, the Turkish side want to take Karius on a season-long loan, which could be very tempting for him.

However, with Mignolet’s future also undecided at this point, it remains to be seen if Liverpool will allow Karius to leave as, having sold Danny Ward, they will want an experienced back-up to Alisson.
