Virgil van Dijk set to train ahead of Leicester clash

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk could be fit for Wednesday evening’s clash with Leicester City at Anfield.

The Dutchman picked up an illness during the club’s recent trip to Dubai but speaking at his press conference ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp said that his record signing is set to train ahead of the visit of the Foxes:

Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield in the league this season and have not dropped a single point against any team lower than fifth in the Premier League table.

Most of the 60 points that Liverpool have acquired so far have come with Van Dijk on the field and they’ll be desperate to have him available for the visit of Claude Puel’s side.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have issues at right-back with James Milner suspended and both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez out through injury
