AC Milan join the race to sign Rafael Camacho
Serie A giants AC Milan are the latest club to show an interest in Liverpool forward Rafa Camacho.
We understand that Milan have been keeping tabs on Camacho for a number of weeks and that they intend to send scouts to watch him in action this weekend when Liverpool’s U23s take on Blackburn Rovers U23s at Anfield.
Camacho’s contract at Liverpool expires at the end of next season but with the Portuguese youngster refusing to sign an extension, it looks like the Reds will allow him to leave this summer.
The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for the Reds earlier this season, playing at right-back against Wolves in the FA Cup, but he sees his future as an attacking player which seems at odds with the role that Liverpool have set him up for.
Wolves, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have all reportedly shown an interest in Camacho, and AC Milan are now the latest side to be tracking the teenager.
