Virals: Commentator Peter Drury captures the mood perfectly yet again

Football is so often decided by moments of magic, whether it be individual or as a team.

Such defining moments need a backdrop, usually a combination of perfect crowd atmosphere and superb live commentary.

One man who is becoming synonymous with capturing Liverpool goals with perfectly descriptive timing is commentator, Peter Drury.

Following on from the 54-year-old describing how the ‘sensational’ Mohamed Salah was able to ‘twist a new set of blood’ against Watford, Drury was on fine form once again for the Egyptian King.

Jurgen Klopp’s free-scoring side must be a dream for commentators up and down the land right now.

Salah is simply unstoppable and the 29-year-old now tops the Premier League scoring charts outrights with 10 goals in nine games.

Moments such as this don’t come around too often and although the vivid memories will live on, having a commentator encapsulate the achievement so perfectly is important.

From ‘what a hit son’ to ‘corner taken quickly’, Liverpool now have a back catalogue of iconic goals to look back on with great fondness.

Kopites everywhere will hope there are many more magical moments to come this season as the Reds continue to fight on all four trophy fronts.

matchday.
