Crystal Palace hit with injuries ahead of Liverpool clash

Liverpool travel to face Crystal Palace on Saturday morning in a Premier League game with huge implications for both sides.

The Reds are looking to secure their top four status, with Chelsea looking to close the gap, whilst Palace are doing all they can to remain in the top flight next season.

The Eagles look like they could be without four of their regular starters for the game, which will give Liverpool added confidence,

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s game, Palace boss Roy Hodgson confirmed that three of his players, James Tomkins, Jeffrey Schlupp and Alexander Sorloth, will be out for the game, whilst star winger Wilfried Zaha is a doubt.

Speaking about Zaha, Hodgson said a decision about his inclusion will be made on Friday:

Zaha hasn’t been training to any great extent as we’re nursing his knee problem that he has/. We will have a look at him tomorrow and hope the knee will be OK. We’ve had to be very cautious after the Huddersfield Town game as he came back from injury much earlier than he should have done.

Palace haven’t won a league game this season without Zaha, so they’ll be keen to have him back, whilst Liverpool will be hoping he misses the game.
