Daniel Sturridge will not be sold this summer

Daniel Sturridge will remain a Liverpool player next season as Liverpool will tell any interested clubs that the England striker is not available for a sale or a loan, according to John Percy of The Telegraph.

Sturridge, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at West Brom, has looked fit and sharp in pre-season and with Danny Ings and Divock Origi set to be sold this summer, the 28-year-old will be part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

Sturridge’s career at Liverpool has been blighted by injuries but there is no doubting his quality when he’s healthy and so far in pre-season, he’s looked in very good shape.

With the Reds unlikely to be making any more signings this summer, Liverpool will go into the season with Roberto Firmino, Dominic Solanke and Sturridge as the club’s recognised strikers, whilst Rhian Brewster will also join the fold when he returns from his injury.
