Duje Caleta-Car is still ‘on the agenda’ for Liverpool ahead of a possible deadline day move, according to the Independent‘s Melissa Reddy.
Contrasting reports have emerged in recent hours, with some claiming the deal won’t happen and other stating that it is still possible.
The Marseille centre-back is seen as someone who could fill the void at centre-back, with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Fabinho all currently injured.
Reddy claims that Liverpool are still hopeful of a deal going through for Caleta-Car, who has won 10 caps for Croatia.

It looks as though the Marseille man is the player the Reds are banking on signing, but it could be a topsy-turvy rest of the day.
At 24, Caleta-Car is at a good age, with plenty of experience but also years ahead of him in his career.
He has completed 85.9 percent of his passes in Ligue 1 this season, suggesting he could shine in Liverpool’s ball-playing style from the back.
