Fabinho left Anfield in a protective walking boot after picking up an ankle injury int he first half of Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Napoli.
Speaking at his press conference after the game, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp said he couldn’t comment on the severity of the Brazilian’s injury as he was unsure what damage had been done to the ankle.
Liverpool will send the midfielder for scans on either Thursday or Friday but will be hoping that 26-year-old will not be out of action for too long.
Fabinho was always going to miss this weekend’s game against Brighton as he is suspended after picking up a yellow card in the win over Crystal Palace on Saturday but with a very busy fixture list on the horizon, Liverpool will be keeping their fingers crossed that the midfielder hasn’t suffered a major injury.

Fabinho has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season and everyone connected to the club will be hoping that he’s not seriously injured his ankle.
However, the fact that he’s in a protective boot is obviously a bad sign and there will be plenty of Liverpool fans fearing the worst.
