Reported Liverpool target Krzysztof Piatek will only be allowed to leave Genoa if a transfer fee of €40 million is offered, according to claims from Calciomercato.
The Poland international has enjoyed an exceptional start to the new season, firing in nine goals for Genoa in Serie A and also contributing with a further four in just one Coppa Italia outing.
Piatek’s impressive early-season form appears to have piqued the interest of several prestigious clubs in European football, with Liverpool linked with a move for the striker only last week.

However, it seems potential suitors will be forced to pay a premium price if they are to lure the 23-year-old away from Genoa any time soon, with the Italian club reportedly demanding a sum of €40 million for their talisman.
Bayern Munich are named as an interested club by Calciomercato’s report, but the likes of Chelsea have also been linked with Piatek in recent times, as he continues to establish himself as one of Serie A’s most in-form players.
Liverpool are well-stocked with strikers but given Piatek’s emergence as a free-scoring striker at Genoa, it seems the Reds have been forced to take note of the forward’s qualities in front of goal.
