Klopp rules out a move for Coutinho

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a move for Philippe Coutinho, the Mirror reports.

The Brazilian left Anfield 12 months ago for a fee in the region of £142million in a move to Spanish giants Barcelona, but has since struggled to make an impact at the Camp Nou.

Coutinho has featured 26 times for Barcelona this season, scoring just six and amassing five assists, though is said to be happy in Spain despite reports of him being unsettled.

Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with the forward recently amidst reports of a potential big money move back to Anfield, though Klopp have played down those rumours and is not contemplating a move for the Brazilian.

That is something I don’t want to talk about. I would not say it is a potential transfer or a likely one. Nothing to say. Whatever I say would open more stories and there is no story. Phil is at Barcelona and as I know he fits really well and everything is fine

Coutinho made a huge impact for Liverpool during his time at the club after signing for just £8.5million from Inter Milan in 2013, scoring 54 goals in all competitions during his six season spell in Merseyside.
