Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Cagliari star Nicolo Barella in recent times.
The young Italian midfielder has continued to develop and has built upon his impressive season last time out, catching the eye with some strong performances in the opening stages of Serie A.
Barella has established himself as a key player for Cagliari and his recent development has not gone unnoticed, with new Premier League clubs reportedly joining the hunt for his signature.

According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, as translated by Sport Witness, Everton and West Ham sent scouts to watch Cagliari’s stalemate with Sampdoria on Wednesday, and they were watching Barella in action.
Several clubs were believed to have sent representatives to closely follow the performance of Barella, whose stock appears to be continuously rising.
Liverpool have been touted as a potential destination for Barella for some time now and they’ll be hoping to fend off competition from elsewhere to secure a deal.
