Liverpool have made an approach to the agent of Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to a report in Mundo Deportivo, as translated by Sport Witness.
The Reds are in the market for a new goalkeeper with Simon Mignolet almost certain to be leaving the club this summer and with the likes of Alisson and Jan Oblak seemingly too expensive for the Reds, Cillessen is apparently on their radar.

The Dutch international has reportedly asked Barcelona to consider letting him leave this summer as he’s unhappy sitting behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who was in excellent form last season.
Cillessen reportedly has a buyout clause of €60m in his contract with the La Liga champions but it’s likely to cost any interested clubs much less than that if they do want to sign the 29-year-old.
Liverpool’s transfer activity has quietened during the World Cup but is expected to ramp up in the very near future.
