Liverpool’s perfect Mohamed Salah successor told he could leave in 2027

After Mohamed Salah’s departure, Liverpool were linked with a handful of attackers across Europe.

Late bids were made for Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr, while Matias Fernandez-Pardo was also mentioned before his move to Newcastle United.

Michael Olise was reliably linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer before Real Madrid pressed ahead with their interest in the French international.

And now, Fabrizio Romano has relayed some interesting quotes from Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, who has appeared to suggest Olise’s future will emerge as a topic of discussion once again in the upcoming transfer windows.

Liverpool target Michael Olise could leave next summer

“We didn’t have any offer on the table,” said Dreesen via Fabrizio Romano.

“And we’ve always said we weren’t interested. That’s exactly our position. Olise is incredibly important for this team. He’s a magician on this pitch.

When asked if Bayern will look to keep him next summer, the German provided a rather coy response.

“Making promises in football is a tricky matter. Whether we can keep him permanently is something we will discuss again in the summer.”

Liverpool are clearly on the lookout for a left-footed player who can play on the right flank, which is evidenced by their pursuit of Brighton’s Minteh.

Olise is undoubtedly one of the biggest matchwinners in world football and any team in the world would be lucky to happen.

However, at this point in time, a lot has to change for the Reds or anyone else to get their hands on him, as Bayern don’t look like they want to lose him.
