Mohamed Salah is a doubt for Crystal Palace clash

Liverpool are worried that Mohamed Salah might not be fit enough to face Crystal Palace in their first Premier League game back after the international break, according to Dom King of the Mail.

Salah has flown out to meet up with the Egyptian national team ahead of their upcoming games but he will have scan on his injured ankle when he arrives, with Liverpool reportedly worried that he has aggrevated the ankle injury which he first picked up during the 2-1 win over Leicester City.

Salah needed treatment on the same ankel after a coming together with Fernandinho, and despite staying on the field for a bit longer, he didn’t complete the full 90 minutes of the 3-1 win over City.

Salah has only ever missed three league games since joining the Reds, but Liverpool are worried that he could be set to miss a few more.

With the news that Andy Robertson has an ankle injury of his own, Liverpool could be without two of their best players for the trip to Palace.

Whilst not ideal, teams who win championships must battle through adversity at times and playing at Selhurst Park without those two players will be a challenge for Jurgen Klopp’s side, but it is one they’ll need to overcome if they want to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
