Celtic are close to agreeing a deal to sign Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster on loan for the entirety of next season, according to a report from Neil Cameron of the Scottish Herald.
The teenager suffered a season ending injury earlier this year which slowed his development and Jurgen Klopp apparently feels that a season away, where he can play more regular first-team football, will be advantageous to him.
The 18-year-old is one of Liverpool’s hottest young talents and big things are expected from him in the future, so a year of playing professional football could do him wonders and hopefully, he’d be able to rejoin the Reds’ squad ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Other clubs are also interested in taking Brewster on loan but Cameron reports that Celtic are likely to win the battle to get him.
If he does move north of the border, Brewster will be working under Brendan Rodgers, the man who was in charge of Liverpool when the Reds took him from Chelsea in 2005.
Brewster would also be likely to come up against a Rangers side managed by Steven Gerrard, who coached the youngster earlier this season.
