Liverpool have received an injury boost ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final clash with AS Roma after it was revealed that Sadio Mane will be fit to play in the game.
The sight of the Senegalese international arriving for a scan at Spire Hospital in Liverpool last Wednesday set alarm bells ringing for some fans and when he missed the 0-0 draw with Stoke, the question on the lips of the supporters was “will he be fit for the Roma game?”.
Jurgen Klopp was asked that very question after the disappointing home draw with Stoke and confirmed that the forward will be fine to play a full part in the game, provided he doesn’t suffer any setbacks between now and then.
Liverpool’s squad is being stretched to its limits at present due to injuries so the news that Mane is fit to play in Rome will give the club’s fans a huge boost.
