With nine league games remaining, Manchester City are just one point ahead of Liverpool as the race for the title enters the closing stages.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had looked to be drawing clear of champions City, having a seven point gap at the top of the league following a dramatic 4-3 victory over Crystal Palace midway through January.
Liverpool had the chance to maintain their seven point lead with a victory over Leicester at the end of January, but a 1-1 draw at Anfield opened the door slightly for City, with the gap reduced to five points.
Klopp viewed it as one point gained rather than two points dropped at the time, but with his side now a point behind City in the run in to the end of the season, the draw against Leicester could prove a pivotal stage of the season.
City have won all five of their league games since then, including victories over Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal, while Liverpool have drawn three of their five league games since.
And with just nine league games left of the campaign, we’ve compared the remaining fixtures facing messrs Klopp and Guardiola.
