Manchester United’s squad to face Liverpool in Sunday’s heavyweight clash has been revealed, and Jesse Lingard has been included, according to Manchester Evening News.
The midfielder had initially been ruled out by United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following his injury against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League tie, but Lingard has been pictured arriving at United’s team hotel ahead of Sunday’s encounter.
Anthony Martial is not fit enough to make the squad, however, with the winger missing out due to a groin injury he also sustained against PSG over a week ago.
Nemanja Matic has been a key figure for United since Solskjaer took over at Old Trafford but he also misses out, as do Phil Jones, Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian.
Liverpool could move three points clear at the top of the league with victory over United on Sunday, while victory for Solskjaer’s side would close the gap to third places Tottenham to six points.
Jurgen Klopp will be without injured duo Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez for Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford but does have Virgil van Dijk back from suspension.
